Margot Dimond

Margot Dimond, APR, is an accredited public relations professional with more than 30 years of experience providing public relations and marketing communications to businesses and nonprofit organizations. Her specialties include strategic planning and implementation, business-to-business publicity and marketing communications, media training, and the planning and production of quality promotional materials. Ms. Dimond has successfully obtained editorial coverage with local, national and international news media; her experience runs the gamut from targeted feature pitches to specialized publications to large media events involving dozens of journalists from around the world. Her most recent experience as an in-house public relations representative includes serving as Director of News & Media Relations for Rice University and as Director of Corporate Communications for Laubach Literacy International (now Proliteracy), which has programs in 35 countries. As a consultant, she has handled public relations and marketing for a wide variety of businesses and nonprofit organizations, including engineering and technology firms, social service agencies and educational institutions, and professional associations. She is a past president of the Houston Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America and has taught public relations as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Houston
